DUDLEY — Southern Wayne senior Wilberline Senatus snared 11 rebounds in a 46-25 loss Tuesday evening to Quad County 3A foe Wilson Fike.
Nevaeh Hines-Bass logged 16 points, six rebounds and two steals for the Saints. Kymora Stokes registered six rebounds and two points, while Myhirah Hunter provided four points and four rebounds.
The Saints (9-14 overall, 6-7 QCC) conclude regular-season play at home Friday against county rival Charles B. Aycock. Tip-off is approximately 6 p.m. inside “The Halo.”
SW boys drop close decision
DUDLEY — Freshman guard Kairel Evans tallied 17 points – all in the second half – during Southern Wayne’s 67-64 setback against Quad County 3A foe Wilson Fike.
Jayden Hardy added 14 points for the Saints. demetrius Elliott scored 12 points, while Chris Carmon scratched for seven points.
Southern Wayne (8-15 overall, 4-9 QCC) returns home Friday for its regular-season finale against C.B. Aycock.
SC girls tumble on road
GOLDSBORO — Trinity Daniels knocked down a team-leading 12 points during a 56-28 loss Tuesday evening at Neuse Six 2A rival Goldsboro High.
Daniels also stuffed her stat sheet with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot.
Senior Aaliyah Kornegay provided seven points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. Heather Alexander recorded five points, three blocked shots and two rebounds.
Senior Emily Williams collected three points, five steals and five rebounds. Kiarah Pearson tallied one point, while Sarah Kirby pulled down four rebounds.
The Gators (8-13 overall, 2-6 Neuse Six) travel to North Johnston today.
Vick leads Saints in win
DUDLEY — Zymere Vick knocked down 19 points during Southern Wayne’s 52-44 conquest of Quad County 3A foe Wilson Fike.
Ivory Moore scored nine points. Jaden Moore and Justin Moore tallied eight points apiece. Kameron Diggings chipped in seven points.
The Saints conclude regular-season play at home Friday against C.B. Aycock.
