SEVEN SPRINGS — The Spring Creek varsity boys and girls basketball teams opened their respective Neuse Six 2A Conference schedules with losses against North Johnston on Monday evening.
Brennan Chambers pumped in 15 points for the Gators, who fell 69-26 in the boys’ game. DJ Deal added seven points. Chambers and Deal combined to convert 12 of 19 free throws.
The Gator girls endured a tough, 35-27 loss.

Spring Creek returns to action Friday at Eastern Wayne. The JV boys tip off at 4:30 p.m.
