DUDLEY — Southern Wayne athletics director David Lee announced changes in the basketball schedule for the next few days.
Friday’s quadruple header with Quad County 3A rival Wilson Fike has been moved to Thursday. A shortage of officials prompted the move, according to Lee after he spoke with the booking agent who handles assignments.
The JV girls tip off at 3:45 p.m.
The Saints will resume their QCC battle with East Wake on Jan. 18.
Play was suspended at halftime of the girls’ game on Dec. 13 due to an on-campus shooting incident. Southern Wayne led 24-7 at halftime.
The girls’ game will resume at 6 p.m. The varsity boys’ game will follow 10 minutes after the girls conclude play.
