Lady Bulldogs dominate early, pull away from Lady Gators

SEVEN SPRINGS — The matchup between the Spring Creek Lady Gators and the Wallace Rose-Hill Lady Bulldogs got underway with high energy, but it was the Lady Bulldogs who quickly set the tone and never looked back.

First Quarter: Lady Bulldogs Strike Fast

The game opened with momentum on Wallace Rose-Hill’s side as the Lady Bulldogs scored first with a layup. Spring Creek responded quickly, with No. 15 Elajah Johnson knocking down a jump shot to get the Lady Gators on the board.

Wallace Rose-Hill answered immediately, converting another layup to push the early lead to 7–2, forcing an early timeout. After the break, the Lady Gators struggled to control possession, leading to another Lady Bulldogs basket.

Foul trouble soon followed for Spring Creek, sending Wallace Rose-Hill to the free-throw line, where they converted both shots to extend the lead to 14–2. The Lady Gators earned a chance at the line when No. 22 Nicole Jackson was fouled, but she was unable to convert. Wallace Rose-Hill capitalized once again, scoring on the other end.

Spring Creek continued to battle, with No. 3 Natalie Jackson adding two points to trim the deficit slightly, but the Lady Bulldogs refused to let up, closing the quarter firmly in control.

Second Quarter: Bulldogs Maintain Command

Wallace Rose-Hill opened the second quarter with another basket, but Spring Creek answered quickly as No. 15 Elajah Johnson scored again. Despite the response, the Lady Bulldogs’ defense proved overwhelming, forcing turnovers and turning them into easy points.

Spring Creek showed resilience, earning trips to the free-throw line. No. 3 Natalie Jackson went 1-for-1, later adding another free throw after being fouled again. A bright moment came when the Lady Gators forced a steal, leading to a basket by No. 20 Briseida Lopez.

Even so, Wallace Rose-Hill continued to pile on points, maintaining full control as the teams headed into the locker room.

By the midway point of the third quarter, the gap had grown significantly, reflecting Wallace Rose-Hill’s dominance on both ends of the floor.
