Wayne STEM Academy, the newest public charter school in Wayne County with STEM-based learning, graduated over 50 students in its first kindergarten graduation ceremony Thursday, June 12.
The school serves families from Wayne, Lenoir, Wilson, and Johnston counties.
Parents, family members, teachers, and staff packed the auditorium to cheer their students on as each kindergartener, clad in purple caps and gowns, received diplomas from Wayne STEM Academy’s Executive Director Dr. Todd Forgette.
Dr. Forgette gave a brief message to all in attendance and said: “Kindness, patience, and integrity are the seeds of continued success — just as important as any diploma or education.”Wayne STEM Academy is currently enrolling all kindergarten – 4th grade students for the 2024-25 school year. Transportation is provided.
Wayne STEM Academy is a tuition free, public charter school open to all North Carolina residents.
