SEVEN SPRINGS — Ten Spring Creek athletes combined to earn all-Neuse Six 2A Conference honors in four varsity sports during the fall season.
Outright boys’ soccer champions in 2021, the Gators shared the 2022 crown with North Johnston. An all-state selection by the NC Soccer Coaches Association, senior Adrian Tavera notched 24 goals and nine assists.
Alex Carmona Morales supplied 21 goals and 15 assists. Ozias Miteu contributed 11 goals and six assists.
Senior defender Noah Coleman Kelly and sophomore defender Jeheili Magdiel Velasquez Sanchez each found a spot on the all-conference squad.
SC concluded the year 17-5-2 and fell to eventual state runner-up Clinton in the third round.
Senior Dylan Davidson received all-league accolades in football. He rushed for 792 yards and six touchdowns on 187 carriers. A four-year varsity performer, Davidson concluded his career with 1,464 yards and 10 TDs.
For the second consecutive year, the Gators’ volleyball team advanced to semifinal-round play in the Neuse Six tournament. Emily Williams and Jasmine Valentine were named all-conference.
SC concluded the year 6-6 in girls’ tennis. Williams, senior Perla Vega and Emma Gainey each garnered all-league recognition.
