Lee County deputies found crystal methamphetamine on a Sanford man stopped in Broadway June 15, according to a release from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they stopped a grey Nissan Altima on Main Street at 6:30 p.m. because the car was “bearing a fictitious registation plate.”
Once stopped, agents made contact with the driver, identified as Lyle Dudley Vanderwalker, 44, of Center Church Road.
“Vanderwalker was operating the vehicle with no insurance, a fictitious registration plate, and driving on a suspended license,” according to the release. “...Vandwerwalker was (also) found to be in possession of approximately one gram of crystal methamphetamine.”
Deputies transported the Sanford driver to the Lee County Detenetion Center where he was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
