I want to wish a happy birthday to Monte Boykin Jr., who celebrated July 12, Barbara George , who celebrated July 17, Betty Lou Hill, who celebrated Tuesday, Joshua Randolph, who celebrated July 11, Dorothy Inez Ward, who will celebrate Saturday, and Evangelist Brenda Taylor on July 31.
Kaylen Maurzion Kareem Middleton passed away on Saturday, July 13. He was born on Jan. 1, 2004 to Starrlla Huntsman and Kaylve Lemont Middleton Sr. He was the grandson of Ernestine Middleton of Holy Ghost Cathedral Church. Kaylen would have been a 10th grader at Cleveland High School in the fall. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother and father, three brothers and five sisters. He will be forever honored and cherished as an outstanding and extraordinary young man. His legacy will live on in the lives of all people that have had the honor of knowing him.
A homegoing celebration was held on Sunday at New Generation Christian Church, 4423 Wilson Mills Road, Smithfield. Please let’s keep the family in our prayers, but let’s keep our own Ernestine Middleton, the grandmother, also in our prayers.

They celebrated birthdays on Thursday.
Happy birthday to Dover’s Bishop Malcolm Johnson, who celebrated July 16, from Elder Kenneth Freeman and the St. Luke church family; Barbara George of Faison on July 17; Veronica Cox Hobbs on July 15; my cousin, Julius Elliott of Raleigh, Iris Oates and Bishop Varnie Fullwood of Clinton, who celebrated on Friday; and to Neena Nickelson on Saturday from your St. Luke church family and friends along with Elder Kenneth Freeman.

Our prayers, sympathy and love are with the family of Clevenland Johnson who passed away on Friday surrounded with his children and family.
A homegoing celebration for Johnson will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Church of Christ, 636 Waller Road, Mount Olive, with Elder Kenneth Freeman officiating. Clevenland was a very well known, humble, kind, young paramedic. He was born Oct. 13, 1963 and went to be with his mother and father on Friday. He was the son of the late Joyce Johnson. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive. A viewing will be held on Friday. Please keep his children, brothers, grandchildren, uncle and aunts in your prayers. Clevenland will surely be missed as he helped so many people.
