A Mount Olive man and a Grantham woman have been arrested on a weapon charge by investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Twenty-three-year-old Jamal Tyjuan Pearsall of 310 Beems Street and 29-year-old Shaniqua Anttilah Bryant of 1380 Old Grantham Road were arrested on Jan. 10.
Pearsall is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and driving with a revoked license. His bond was set at $54,000.
Bryant was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and her bond was set at $3,600.
Members of the sheriff’s Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team made the arrest during a traffic stop.
Officers say they discovered the stolen firearm during a search.
