Learn about native plants, pollinator conservation
Program set on conservation The Sandhills Natural History Society will meet March 25 at 7 p.m. at Weymouth Woods Auditorium, 1024 Fort Bragg Road, Southern Pines.
Gabriela Garrison, Eastern Piedmont Habitat Conservation coordinator for the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, will speak on the importance of planting native species and on pollinator conservation across the state. Visitors are welcome.

Make a Mardi Gras animal mask
Come celebrate Mardi Gras at Cliffs of the Neuse, 240 Park Entrance Road, Seven Springs, Saturday at 2 p.m. Visitors will design their own animal-themed masks and will partake in a traditional cake that is served during the festival. You do not have to sign up for this program, but if you plan to bring a large group, contact the Visitor Center at 919-778-6234. The location for the program will be posted online a few days before the program.
Spring leprechauns at Cliffs of the Neuse
Celebrate the upcoming arrival of spring and St. Patrick’s Day by growing your own leprechaun Sunday at 3 p.m. at Cliffs of the Neuse. You do not have to sign up for this program, but if you plan to bring a large group, contact the Visitor Center at 919-778-6234. Program location will be posted online a few days before the program.
