Four Seasons program Nov. 9

St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 3414 Summerlin Crossroad Road, will host its Four Seasons program at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, featuring M.B. Church’s Mother Betty Melvin-Hallsville, who sill speak on spring; Anita Daniels, who will speak on summer, from Union Baptist in Durham; Nannie Barfield, who will address fall from Smith Chapel M.B. Church; and Deacon Charles Faison, who will close out the program on winter from Mount Pleasant M.B. Church. Mother Spirit of Wilson will provide a special performance.

St. James to
offer programs

St. James Church of Christ, 514 S. Breazeale Ave., will host a Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, featuring guest preacher Elder Kenneth Freeman of St. Luke Church of Christ in Mount Olive.

St. James will host a service featuring Elder Ernest Watson Sr. at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. All are invited.

Dixie Melody Boys
in concert Nov. 15

Seven Springs Baptist Church in Seven Springs will host the Dixie Melody Boys in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. Since their original formation decades ago, the Kinston-based quartet has enjoyed tremendous success, including a Grammy nomination and numerous Fan Award nominations from The Singing News Magazine. The quartet is led by 50-year veteran and recent Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee, Ed O’Neal, who has enjoyed over 20 Top 40 hits, including eight Top 10 releases and a No. 1 single.
