Evangelical Fellowship to hold revival

A revival will be held Sept. 25-27 at Evangelical Fellowship Center, 120 S. Center St., Mount Olive.

There will be a different speaker each night, including Pastor W.C. Hutchins of Bethel Light Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro on Wednesday, Pastor Betty Faison of New Jackson Tabernacle in Mount Olive on Thursday and Pastor Roderick Best of Best Cathedral of Fres Fire of Kinston on Friday. Services begin at 7:30 p.m. Pastor of Evangelical Fellowship is Dr. Curtis Lee.

Harvest Sale and Dinner Oct. 5

Eureka Christian Church, 2036 Dobbersville Road, in the Grantham community of Mount Olive will host a harvest sale and dinner on Saturday, Oct. 5. A barbecue pork and chicken dinner, available for dine in and take out, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. A sale of crafts, toys and baked goods will be held from 1:30 p.m. until supplies last. Other miscellaneous items will be sold at auction. Tickets for the event are on sale for $8 apiece.

‘Taking Action’ Sunday

Outlaw’s Bridge Universalist Church, 4408 N.C. Highway 111 N., Seven Springs will host “Taking Action” by Jimmy Merritt at 11 a.m. Sunday. Merritt will share a personal story and his witness to a home building program in the style of Habitat for Humanity that he says was torpedoed by inept management and resentment from working class professionals. The church is calling his story a modern Aesop fable. Offerings collected at this service are set to go to Habitat for Humanity of Goldsboro-Wayne.
