In a game that featured numerous scoring opportunities, momentum swings and a high number of yellow cards, the Gators ultimately pulled away for a 4-2 victory over the Panthers.
Gators Strike Twice Late in the First Half
Both teams came out eager to establish control, with the offenses and defenses battling for possession early. Spring Creek had several opportunities to advance the ball but was slowed by a handful of offsides calls.
North Pitt created an early opportunity when No. 15 Fabian Elias Medina took a throw-in, but the Gators quickly stopped the advancement. A corner kick from No. 7 followed, with No. 11 Caleb Jeronimo attempting a header that sailed wide.

No. 10 David Kolko Medi stepped up to take the penalty kick and calmly found the right side of the net at the 36:34 mark, extending Spring Creek’s advantage to 3-1.

Spring Creek answered with a defensive play that stole the ball and drove forward before the Gators were awarded a penalty in the box.
No. 8 Bryan Esau Medina Rodriguez stepped up for Spring Creek and delivered one of the game’s biggest moments, converting the penalty kick at the 3:56 mark to give the Gators a 4-2 advantage.
Spring Creek continued applying pressure late, with No. 8 Bryan Esau Medina Rodriguez stealing possession and finding No. 22 Erix Sosa Rodriguez on the attack. Another penalty was called on North Pitt, giving the Gators yet another opportunity.
Although No. 8 Bryan Esau Medina Rodriguez’s ensuing kick did not find the net, the Gators had done enough.
As the final minutes ticked away, Spring Creek continued to pressure North Pitt while its defense held firm. When the final whistle sounded, the Gators walked away with a 4-2 victory.
