WARSAW — The James Kenan Lady Tigers faced off against the Clinton Lady Dark Horses in a competitive matchup that saw momentum shift early. The Lady Tigers came out aggressively, with No. 8 Josselyn Gomez leading an early drive, but the Clinton defense stood strong to deny the scoring opportunity.
Clinton quickly responded by gaining possession and pushing into Lady Tigers territory, only to be stopped by a key defensive play from No. 8 Josselyn Gomez. James Kenan continued to apply pressure, including a strong drive from No. 13 Yasmira Deleo but once again the Lady Dark Horses’ defense held firm.
As the half progressed, Clinton began to find its rhythm offensively. After building sustained pressure, the Lady Dark Horses broke through with a goal by No. 24 Laynie Brock at the 27:46 mark, taking a 1-0 lead.
James Kenan attempted to answer with a push into Clinton territory, but a handball halted their momentum. Despite efforts from No. 16 Alison Duenas and a corner throw-in by No. 17 Aleyah Wilson, the Lady Tigers were unable to find the back of the net.

Despite the scoreline, James Kenan refused to back down. The Lady Tigers found a spark midway through the half when No. 17 Aleyah Wilson scored at the 20:34 mark, energizing the team and shifting momentum briefly in their favor.
