Post Game Interview
After the game, I had the opportunity to speak with Spring Creek Gators Head Coach Miguel Torres, who said he believes his team is trending in the right direction. “Our team is showing so much promise we just need to capitalize on the big plays,” Coach Torres said. “We have our opportunities, we’ve just got to make them count. We’re back to conference play next week, and we have to continue to grow and build this team.”
I also caught up with Southern Wayne Saints Head Coach Luis Ramirez, who emphasized how much this matchup means to both programs. “This is our rivalry right here,” Coach Ramirez said. “We have nothing but respect for the other team and wish them nothing but the best, but we are grateful to get this win. We’re coming back with many suspensions, but we still managed to pull this one off. I’m very proud of this team no matter the outcome we have three games left, so let’s finish strong and hopefully make a playoff berth this postseason.”
