DUDLEY — Greene Central seized a two-goal advantage by halftime and turned back Southern Wayne, 3-1, in non-conference action Wednesday evening.

Jesus Castillo tallied an unassisted goal for the Saints.

Miguel Zavala, Adrian Acevedo and Josh Osorio tallied one goal apiece for the Rams. Angel Contreras, Zavala and Yahir Morales each provided an assist.

SW keeper Jefferson Morales collected seven saves between the pipes.

The Saints (2-5-0 overall) entertain Northern Nash today. Kickoff is 6 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Rams – the reigning Eastern Plains 2A champions – return to Wayne County today for a contest at Spring Creek. Kickoff is 6 p.m. in “The Swamp.”
