Spring break is over, and just three weeks remain in regular-season play for baseball, softball, girls’ soccer, boys’ tennis and boys’ golf.

It’s time to get down to business.

Boys’ tennis

Southern Wayne concludes its home schedule Monday against perennial 3A power Wilson Fike. First serve is 3:30 p.m. in Dudley.

Spring Creek, directed by head coach Robert Jones, concludes regular-season play Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader at Neuse Six 2A rival Goldsboro High.

Boys’ golf

North Duplin crosses the Wayne County line and heads to Goldsboro Country Club for a four-team, Carolina 1A match Monday.

Tee time is 3:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Southern Wayne steps back into Quad County 3A Conference play at Reedy Creek Country Club. The eight-team field tees off at 1 p.m.

Baseball

Defending Carolina 1A champion North Duplin (14-2 overall) is the guest of Lakewood on Tuesday. The Rebels put an eight-game win streak on the line.

In Dudley, Southern Wayne (10-5) returns home to face Quad County 3A rival East Wake. According to Saints athletics director David Lee, the Warriors do not have a JV team.

First pitch at both sties is 6 p.m.

Spring Creek (0-8) concludes first-half Neuse Six 2A play at Beddingfield on Tuesday.

Softball

Two-time defending Carolina 1A champ North Duplin (10-2) travels to Lakewood, while Southern Wayne (6-8) entertains East Wake.

Spring Creek (7-5) travels to Beddingfield.

All three games start at 6 p.m.

Girls’ soccer

Southern Wayne (5-6-1) looks to snap a string of four consecutive shutouts against Quad County 3A opposition when East Wake invades the Bryan Multi-Sports Complex on Tuesday evening.

Kickoff is 6:30 p.m.

North Duplin (3-9-0) goes to winless Lakewood, while Spring Creek (2-6-1) visits Beddingfield. Those road contests kick off at 6 p.m.
