Let your testimony set you free
Praise the Lord and good morning, everyone. When we endure storms, trials, & tribulations, what have some of you found was the best way to set yourself free of them? Maybe telling your testimony after enduring the storm freed you by turning your pain into purpose, connected you with others, built your faith, empowered you to inspire hope, or transformed your personal struggles into a powerful witness of resilience and God’s faithfulness, shifting focus from trial to triumph. Isaiah 43:2 states, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; fire shall not consume you, nor shall the flame kindle upon you.” This scripture lets us know that God’s protective presence is near as we endure our storms, trials, & tribulations. Some of you may have sought to endure and overcome by fasting, meditating, coming out of stagnation, choosing to stop making excuses, repenting, and getting more into your word. This isn’t a bad thing though; it’s a great thing.
God surely wants us whole, and He wants us to do whatever it takes to be so. Telling your testimony, is a spiritual declaration that declares God can bring beauty from ashes and that you are not defined by your suffering but by His deliverance. John 16:33 states, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart, I have overcome the world.” This verse is Jesus’ promise of peace despite worldly troubles. Reading this scripture and meditating upon it will enable us to successfully overcome our storms, trials, and tribulations, even if those storms are addictions, molestation, rape, abuse (of all kinds), betrayal, separation and divorce, battling cancer, grieving, anger, hurt, bitterness, or brokenness, I could go on and on, but you all get what God is painting here. Not what I’m painting, but what He’s painting. He gets the victory. John 16:33 helps us all overcome life’s storms by offering us peace in Jesus, not from tribulation, assuring believers that while trials are inevitable, Jesus has already secured victory over the world’s chaos, empowering us to have courage and find inner peace and strength through His finished work, allowing us to navigate challenges from a position of spiritual triumph, not defeat.
I remember my all-day meditation mantra use to be, “If you know better, you’ll do better, but even at times, I failed to execute (fall through) on exactly doing better. I would let my storms, my trials and tribulations on the inside of what was already negatively affecting me, which could’ve been having a bad day at work, a relationship not working out, not being able to pay a bill or the car note, children being rude and disrespectful, feeling doubtful and forgotten about by God, or simply just getting cut off by someone with road rage, but again, let me tell you, God wants us WHOLE. He wants us delivered from all of this. Lately, I have found that deliverance is best overcome by sharing your TESTIMONY. The Bible suggests to us that by telling your testimony you’re set free and have chosen to declare God’s power over your past, breaking spiritual chains, and inspiring hope in others, fulfilling the prophecy that “they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11). Sharing your testimony publicly affirms your faith, finds meaning in your suffering, and helps others see God’s transformative work in you, freeing you from despair and drawing you ever closer to Him. It’s a spiritual weapon, so if the Holy Spirit convinces you to move forward, then guess what, MOVE FORWARD!! But only move when you’re truly ready. I promise you; the release will be worth it and afterwards you get to sit back and watch God truly work in your life. Amen. Until next time folks, stay blessed!
