The Wayne County Veterans and Patriots Coalition, Inc. is hosting Wayne County Stand Down 2025 as a way to offer services to veterans from Wilson, Lenior, Johnston, Sampson and Duplin counties.
This event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Wayne County VSO, 2001-D E Ash St., Goldsboro.
Services being offered include employment, medical screening, housing referrals, VA benefits, food, toiletries, barber services, clothing and legal services.
Those attending are asked to provide proof of veteran status, including a DD 214, VA Health ID, DOD ID or Veteran Designated drivers license. For anyone homeless, a letter from the shelter verifying housing status is required.
