KINSTON — Trinity Daniels collected nine points and grabbed five rebounds during Spring Creek’s 40-25, non-conference loss to Parrott Academy on Thursday evening.
Daniels also doled out two assists.
Kiarah Pearson contributed eight points and three rebounds. Natalie Jackson provided five points and six rebounds.
Senior center Heather Alexander collected two points, pulled down eight rebounds and blocked two shots. Fellow senior Sarah Hess supplied one point and snagged six rebounds.
The Gators (2-3 overall) return to action today at North Duplin. Tip-off is 6 p.m. inside Kaleel Gymnasium.
SC boys fall
KINSTON — Nathan Jackson dropped in 18 points during Spring Creek’s 63-58, non-conference loss to Parrott Academy on Thursday evening.
Brennan Chambers registered 17 points and nine rebounds. Darius “DJ” Deal scratched for eight points, 10 rebounds and three assists.
Jackson Rose contributed seven points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jalen Johnson recorded five points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Josh Lewis had three points, one rebound and one steal.
The Gators (1-4 overall) are the guests of North Duplin today. Tip-off is approximately 7:30 p.m.
ND girls tumble
BEULAVILLE — East Duplin raced to a 10-point lead after one quarter and turned back county rival North Duplin, 46-30, on the varsity girls’ basketball scene Thursday evening.
The Rebels (3-2 overall) return home today for a non-conference matchup against Spring Creek. Tip-off is 6 p.m. inside Kaleel Gymnasium.
