GOLDSBORO — The Cures for the Colors Color Run is just one month away. On Sept. 14, participants will gather in Goldsboro for a day of vibrant colors, community spirit, and support for individuals battling cancer. This event promises fun and hope for all involved.

The Color Run offers something for everyone. Participants can choose between timed and untimed 5K options, an untimed 1-mile fun run with a brand-new route, or even a virtual event for those unable to attend in person. This year’s event will be more exciting than ever, with a Kid’s Zone featuring inflatables sponsored by Goldsboro Pediatrics, various vendors, and a colorful course that promises to make every step memorable.

Every participant in the Color Run helps support Southeastern Cancer Care’s mission of providing basic living essentials to individuals battling cancer in Eastern North Carolina. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, your involvement makes a significant impact. The event’s theme, “Every step, a move of hope!” encapsulates the spirit of the day and the difference we can make together.

To guarantee a t-shirt, participants must register by Aug. 19. Registration opens the morning of the race at 7:45 a.m., and everyone is encouraged to arrive early. The 1-mile fun run kicks off at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9 a.m.
