GOLDSBORO — Southeastern Cancer Care, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals battling cancer, is excited to announce the upcoming Cures for the Colors Survivor Banquet on Saturday, June 22, at the Maxwell Center in Goldsboro.

Sponsored by Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, this event honors and celebrates the courage and resilience of all those who have faced cancer. Whether currently fighting, in remission, or having triumphantly beaten cancer, individuals are invited to join to a memorable morning of support, inspiration, and camaraderie.

The Survivor Banquet will feature a delectable brunch, encouraging words from Pastor Jamal Hyman of Abide Bible Church, and exciting door prizes and raffle items. Additionally, each survivor is welcome to bring one guest to enjoy the event with them.

“We want this event to be a beacon of hope and strength for all those whose lives have been touched by cancer,” says Emma Barnes, Director of Southeastern Cancer Care. “It’s a time to come together, celebrate milestones, and draw strength from one another.”

Registration for the Survivor Banquet is free and can be completed online at www.southeasterncancercare.org or at any Southeastern Medical Oncology Center office. Spaces are limited, so individuals are encouraged to register early to secure spots.

Southeastern Cancer Care was founded in 2011 by the doctors at Southeastern Medical Oncology Center. The doctors saw firsthand the need to support cancer patients financially as they battled their cancer diagnosis so that patients would not have to choose between treatment and basic living essentials. Southeastern Cancer Care is a 501 C 3 organization dedicated to providing gas cards, grocery cards, and help with utility bills and oncology prescriptions. All of the funds raised go directly to cancer patients and their families. Southeastern Cancer Care runs completely off monetary donations, volunteers’ time, and resources.
