WILSON — Trinity Daniels cleared the glass for a career-high 18 rebounds and supplied 11 points during Spring Creek’s 48-33 loss to Beddingfield the Neuse Six 2A regular-season finale for both teams Friday evening.
Freshman guard Kiarah Pearson provided nine points, including a 6 of 10 effort at the free throw line. Aaliyah Kornegay contributed six points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Emily Williams tallied three points.
Sarah Kirby and Heather Alexander provided two points and six rebounds apiece.
The Gators (8-15 overall, 2-8 Neuse Six) finished fifth and faces fourth-seeded North Johnston in opening-round tournament play Monday at Beddingfield. Tip-off is 3 p.m.
Third-seeded Beddingfield (17-5, 7-3) plays host to sixth-seeded Princeton.
