Senior citizens across Duplin County are urged to come out to the Events Center Wednesday for the annual Senior Christmas and Senior Expo event.
The event, being held at 195 Fairgrounds Drive in Kenansville, begins at 9:30 a.m. and continues until 1:30 p.m.
Organizers said seniors attending will have the opportunity to combine a celebration of the holidays with preventative health and education information that is sure to be helpful to all who participate.
The event will host a variety of health screenings, educational resources, music, arts/crafts, and a holiday meal. This is a great opportunity to connect resources available for seniors, and receive some healthy incentive rewards, organizers stressed.
This event is made possible by the Family Cooperative fund, and the Duplin County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation, and Operation Round-Up Foundation of Tri County Electric Membership Corporation.
