SEVEN SPRINGS — Jackson Rose pumped in a career-high 20 points during Spring Creek’s 81-66 loss to county and Neuse Six 2A boys’ basketball rival Friday evening.

Rose drained five 3-pointers on the night.

Brennan Chambers supplied 20 points for the Gators, who dipped to 6-9 overall and 1-3 against Neuse Six 2A play this season. Nathan Jackson and Kam McDaniel provided 12 points apiece.

Justin Raiford added one basket.

Spring Creek shot 8 of 11 at the free throw line.

Goldsboro (16-2 overall, 4-0 Neuse Six) claimed its 11th straight win over the Gators and 23rd victory in 26 meetings overall since 2010.

The Gators return home Tuesday to face Beddingfield.
