CALYPSO — Dujuan Armwood returned two first-quarter punts for touchdowns during North Duplin’s 50-0, non-conference romp over Jones Senior at H.E. Grubbs Field Friday evening.

Armwood’s touchdowns covered 39 and 85 yards. The senior had two pick sixes (interceptions) called back on penalties.

Track standout Khamari Leak, Branden Reyna, Bryan Zambrano and Carell Phillips provided one touchdown apiece. Reyna converted three PATs, while Zambrano ran in a two-point conversion.

Junior quarterback Luke Kelly connected with Thomas Morrisey on a third-quarter, 23-yard touchdown pass. It was Kelly’s lone pass attempt and completion on the night.

Phillips’ 68-yard scoring gallop, his only tote of the game, spearheaded an offensive attack that amassed 216 yards on just 16 plays. Leak finished with 37 yards rushing, while Reyna had 32.

North Duplin limited the winless Trojans to just 55 yards of total offense, including 10 yards on 36 rush attempts.

The Rebels (3-0 overall) entertain Lejeune next Friday.
