Junior Homar Lopez-Castro provided the Gators’ lone goal off an assist from senior Ozia Miteu.
Josh Osorio and Sebastian Gualito each notched a goal for the Rams, who improved to 5-0-1 against Spring Creek since 2013. Alex Contreras and Miguel Zavala supplied one assist apiece.
Four meetings between the two perennial soccer powers have been decided by one goal.
Weather permitting, Spring Creek (1-4-0 overall) entertains former East Central 2A foe East Duplin on Wednesday. The Gators play host to Holly Ridge Dixon on Thursday.

Saints sophomore Charity Van Dyke dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles. Teammate Kylie Hyde, a sophomore, fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
Van Dyke and doubles mate Allya Segura endured an 8-1 loss at No. 1 doubles.
Weather permitting, the Saints (0-2, 0-2 QCC) visit South Johnston on Wednesday. First serve is 3:30 p.m.
