CALYPSO — Junior Eva Quintanilla served six aces and recorded four kills during North Duplin’s 25-10, 25-15, 30-28 conquest of Lejeune on the volleyball court Wednesday evening.

Addy Higginbotham notched five kills, four aces and three digs.

Reece Outlaw contributed three kills.

Setter Lilly Fulghum dished out 11 assists and registered three digs.

The Rebels claimed their 11th consecutive win over the Devilpups and 13th overall in 17 meetings since 2013.

North Duplin (2-1 overall) travels to East Duplin today.

Saints compete at GGC

GOLDSBORO — Sophomore Regan Stribble carded a team-best 52 during Southern Wayne’s non-conference girls’ golf match held Tuesday at Goldsboro Golf Course.

Emily Webster, Catie Shallert and Laura Summerlin each turned an nine-hole round of 57. Chloe Sullivan fired a 62.

The Saints return to Quad County 3A play next Tuesday at Reedy Creek Golf Course in Four Oaks.
