A water line repair project will require that water be shut off to the western part of Mount Olive from 8 p.m. Sunday, July 30, to 6 a.m. Monday, July 31.
The affected area includes the Smith Chapel area, Walmart, Ramblewood, U.S. 117 Alternate and Pineland Avenue.
The water will be shut off to repair a 12-inch main in front of Robert’s Machine Shop on N.C. 55, creating a loss of approximately 50,000 gallons a day.
Everyone in this area will be under a boil water mandate until otherwise advised. This will last until approximately, Tuesday, Aug. 1.
