Many people may be wondering why it matters how you start your day off. Well, let me tell you why it matters. Firstly, no one wants to wake up next to a person who is groggy all the time or who walks out of their house full of happiness and joy, so ready to start the day, only to have it dimmed by those who are bitter, angry, and full of hatred.

If you go into work feeling this way, or enter an environment like the grocery store, hair salon, or fast-food establishment, your morning can lose drive, focus, and energy quickly, forcing you to be held back from what propels you forward. Secondly, it matters how you start your day because the person sitting next to you on the bus, standing next to you on the elevator, or eating lunch in the same cafeteria as you may need that same positive energy and love you are dishing out, so that their day, too, can be productive.

Have you ever just been out and about and spotted someone who looks down, sad, confused, hurt, lost, and maybe even scared, but because you started your day off right, possibly meditating on God’s word, in prayer, or reading your Bible, you immediately knew that person needed a hug, needed to hear a kind word, needed their groceries, food, or whatever necessities they were purchasing paid for because they are struggling financially, and because of your kindness, love and generosity, you have just lifted their spirits a little bit more, and maybe even showed them how to pay it forward (pass it on) towards someone else.

Dealing with difficult people is never easy. But being understanding is. Taking the time out to listen to those we consider difficult, means finding out what their issue at heart is, and instead of matching their energy dimming your own light, show the God that resides in you, show them LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY.

Thirdly, if you are one of those who listens to sweet sounds in the mornings or great gospel music, pass it along, share it with Lastly, it matters how you start your day because if you start it determined, sold out for Jesus, full of grace and mercy, your whole day will go well, undeterred by the troubled waters swaying your way and people’s negativity. Walk with your head held high (not snobbish and selfless) but knowing whose child you are and showing that you ARE grateful to the Highest that you and your loved ones are here living to see another day. This move only teaches others to be grateful also. Therefore, it matters a great deal how you start your day. If your thing is starting your day off exercising, executing your favorite hobby, writing in your journal, cleaning your house, yard work, cooking breakfast for your family, washing clothes, studying, tending to your garden, or simply reading a good book, do it with Jesus in mind and heart, be sure to always put Him first, no matter the task at hand.

Until next time folks, stay Blessed!!
