Two-time Emmy Award winner Willa Brigham will appear at the inaugural Juneteenth Celebration.
The festival is June 19 from 2-6 p.m. at Westbrook Park.
Brigham is an inspirational speaker and writer who hosts the television show, “Smart Start Kids.”
Residents can enjoy community booths, gospel singing, children’s games, a walk-a-thon, adult extreme hip-hop, Things on Wheels (vehicle show) and a Carver Cemetery honoring ancestors.
Free refreshments and prizes will be furnished by the Mount Olive chapter of the Carver Alumni & Friends Association, Inc.
