During his first three meets of the season, Brewer has recorded top-five finishes in both the 1,000- and 1,600-meter runs. He posted a time of 3 minutes 11.50 seconds in his first 1,000-meter event of the year contested at West Johnston. He continues to chase his personal record (PR) in the 1,600 after crossing the line in 5:22 at West Johnston.
