A senior tri-captain, Miteu has scored nine goals and dished out four assists this season. He registered a natural hat trick (three consecutive goals) during a victory over county rival Rosewood. The outspoken and energetic striker/defender earned all-region accolades from the NC Soccer Coaches Association a year ago.
Gators head coach Miguel Torres said, “Ozias has learned now and has gotten to the point in his high school playing career where he is teaching the underclassmen Spring Creek Gator soccer. He brings intensity to practice and communicates well with first-year players. Ozias makes sure they know they importance of representing Spring Creek soccer. I will never forget his first day attending soccer workouts. He told me, ‘Hi, my name is Ozias and I’m going to play college soccer.’ He had amazing confidence telling me that sentence and has never stopped working hard.”
