Regan Stribble continues to lower her individual score each outing and shot a career-low 46 during a recent meet held at Goldsboro Golf Course. She helped lead Southern Wayne to a first-place finish in a multi-team meet this past Monday at Southern Wayne Country Club.
Saints head coach Trae McKee said, “Regan is super athletic and a gritty competitor. She picked golf up very fast and qualified for regionals last season as a freshman in her last match [a year ago]. This year she broke 50 and has been playing well after a slow start, including a career-low 46. When Regan gets her driver in play she generates a lot of speed and can drive the golf ball in upwards of 235 yards which is super long in hs girls golf. When Regan chips and putts well she is going to score very well most of the time as her long game and ball striking is very strong. Regan could potentially make it through to the state tournament if she continues to improve.”
