Dudley man charged with murdering brother, dogs

A Dudley man is being held in the Wayne County Jail without bond for the alleged murder of his brother.

22-year-old Matthew James Bohne of 120 Hideaway Circle is also charged on two counts of felony cruelty to animals after the October 2 incident.

Investigators with he Wayne County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to the Dudley address after being notified of a shooting. They reported being met in the front yard by the accused man, who told them he had shot his brother, who was dead.

The victim was identified as David Christopher Bohne of the same address.

They said Bohne told them the victim was in the living room of the mobile home the two shared. Deputies said they entered the residence and found the victim in the living room. Two dogs, both shot and killed, were also located.

Officers provide no other details about the shooting, including suspected motive. The investigation is continuing.

Investigators said both the accused and the victim had not been living here very long and were from Texas.
