One arrested for Mount Olive armed robbery; another sought

One man is already in jail and another being sought for a pair of back-to-back July armed robberies of two Dollar General Stores, one of them in Mount Olive.

Jailed under a $275,000 bond is 36-year-old Anthony Demarcus Langston of 905 Sixth Street in Goldsboro. He is charged on two counts of aiding and abetting robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of conspiracy robbery with a dangerous weapon, and resisting a public officer.

Investigators with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department said Langston was already in jail on a variety of drug charges. He is accused with the robberies of the Dollar General in Mount Olive on July 8 and the same offense of the Dollar General on Pikeville-Princeton Road at NC Highway 581.

Further investigation, with assistance from the Goldsboro Police, has resulted in warrants being issued for another suspect. 30-year-old Raymond Lemuel Cheadle, lll, of 921 West Oak Street in Goldsboro is also sought as a felony fugitive and probation absconder by the U.S. Marshal’s office.
