A Seven Springs man is facing drug trafficking charges after police say they found 12 ounces of cocaine in his possession.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office’s Drug Task Force charged 45-year-old Jose Antonio “Tony” Gualito Vega with two counts of trafficking cocaine.
Officers say Vega, of 4510 N.C. Highway 55, was arrested without incident on July 31 on North Berkeley Boulevard in Goldsboro.
The arrest comes as part of an ongoing investigation, and more arrests are expected, according to the sheriff’s office.
Members of the Carteret County Narcotics Unit assisted in the investigation.
