I would like to thank each and everyone for the many calls and text messages as I celebrated my 67th birthday in Wilmington and in Mebane with my children on Friday. Thank God for an awesome weekend. Celebrating the month of May was awesome.

Joesph Jeffrey Jenkins of Washington spent several days of vacation in Goldsboro and Dudley visiting his cousin, Shirley Evans, and attending worship service on Sunday, June 2, at First Congregational Church in Dudley where the pastor is Elder Robert Cox.
Jeffrey also visited me, Schenita and family in Mebane and Brenda Ward as we celebrated my birthday at the home of Dante and Schenita.

Our prayers, sympathy and love are with the family of Georgia Jackson, formerly of Smith Chapel in Mount Olive, and a resident of Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on June 6 at a New York nursing facility. A homegoing celebration will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, 431 Ralph Ave., Brooklyn, New York. Services are being handled by Armstrong Funeral Home in Brooklyn. Georgia Jackson Faison was the daughter of the late Leslie Jackson and God-daughter of the late Vancie and Ethel Weeks Ward, who she lived with until moving to New York.
