Dudley man accused of discarding meth while talking to cops

A Dudley man is accused of attempting to discard methamphetamine while talking to deputies, who stopped to check out a suspicious car on Dec. 28, according to a release from the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 36-year-old Alec Christopher Grant of 362 Sandhill Drive reported having “mechanical problems” with the vehicle when officers stopped, but deputies soon “discovered Grant had discarded drug paraphernalia on the ground while speaking,” the release stated.

Grant was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and was booked into the Wayne County Detention Center where he was being held on a $500 secured bond.
