Jeep crashes into wrecker on snowy road

The driver of a wrecker aiding a motorist stuck on an embankment during Thursday’s snowy weather got more than he bargained for at the scene. The wrecker, from A+ Towing and Recovery in Mount Olive, was in the process of pulling the spun-out vehicle onto Interstate 40 when a driver heading west on the interstate lost control and struck the rear of the tow truck. The driver said when he saw the Jeep headed his way, he ran from the rear of the wrecker, escaping without being hit himself. The wrecker driver said he sustained only minor injuries when running away from the crash. The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.
