GOLDSBORO - The Wayne County Health Department received notice of six additional deaths related to COVID-19 this past week.
The deceased ranged in ages from mid-50s to early 80s and all had underlying medical conditions. Two resided in congregate living facilities.
The county’s death toll is now 62.
According to WCHD data, there have been 3,063 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus. More than 2,800 individuals who tested positive are now considered recovered.
There are 185 active cases in the county.
