FINANCE COMMITTEE TO MEET
The finance committee of the Wayne County Board of Education will meet on Wednesday, March 29, at noon at the administrative offices on Royall Avenue in Goldsboro.

REPUBLICANS TO MEET APRIL 1
The Republican Executive Committee will meet on Saturday, April 1, at Ryan's Family Steakhouse in Greenville, at 11 a.m. for a buffet luncheon.
Following the standing committee reports, final convention committee assignments and planning will be finalized for the Saturday, May 13 presidential election year convention.
Entries for the district logo contest will be accepted.

WOMEN'S HISTORY LECTURE
Mount Olive College's Department of Social Sciences will present a Women's History Month lecture at 7:30 p.m. on this Thursday, March 30, in Rodgers Chapel.
Dr. A. Hope Williams, president of the North Carolina Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and of the Independent College Fund of North Carolina, will be the guest lecturer.

NUTRITION SEMINAR PLANNED
Harry Hersey, licensed certified nutritionist and author of the book, New Answers to Old Questions, will be in Goldsboro to present a seminar on nutritional supplements at the Ramada Inn, highway. 70 West, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27.
The seminar is open to all interested persons. There is no admission charge and no sales.

SPRING SEMINAR WILL BE HELD
The Wayne County Mental Health Association will open its spring seminar series on Thursday, March 30, at 4 p.m. in the Wayne County Public Library auditorium on East Ash Street in Goldsboro.
Dr. John Diamond will present The Challenges of Diagnosing and Treating ADHD. He is an associate professor of adolescent psychiatry in the department of psychiatry at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

WAYNE BEEKEEPERS TO MEET
Wayne County beekeepers will meet this Wednesday night, March 29, from 7 to 9 p.m., in the kitchen of the Wayne Center on South George Street in Goldsboro.

SPRINGS RESCUE OPEN HOUSE
The public is invited to an open house at the Seven Springs Area Rescue Building this Sunday, April 2, from 3 to 5 p.m.
The remodeled building was re-opened recently after sustaining flood damage from Hurricane Floyd.
The building is located at the corner of Main Street and Highway NC 55.
