Dudley man reports theft of an ATV

26 June 2008 – Allen Thompson of 212 Coral Drive, Dudley reported the theft of a 2005 blue and white Yamaha ATV on Wednesday. The vehicle, valued at $4,000, was stolen from the back of the residence.
Kevin Lee King of 4050 Arrington Bridge Rd, Seven Springs reported the larceny of several items on Tuesday. The property was stolen from the 3800 block of Arrington Bridge Road. Items taken included a EZ-GO golf cart valued at $2,500, a 2007 Suzuki ATV valued at $5,000, a generator, a sawz-all and a utility trailer.
John Henry Waters of 161 Mitchell Rd., Dudley reported being robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday. Waters was at his neighbor’s residence at 182 Mitchell rd when the robbery occurred. Stolen were a Motorola cell phone and $40 in currency.

Local man arrested
for simple assault
Walter Lee Best, 22, of 318 E Pollock St, Mount Olive was arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple assault Monday. He was confined in the Wayne County jail without bond.
Katrina Ernestine Barnes, 33, of 210 Hereford Dr., Dudley, was arrested Monday for failure to pay child support. Barnes was released from the Wayne County jail on $150 secured bond.

North Carolina
Highway Patrol
According to North Carolina Highway Patrol Reports, Marilyn Kay Brimmage, 51, of Pollock St. in Mount Olive struck a deer in the roadway on Rains Mill Rd. in Princeton on June 10 at 4;18 p.m.
Approximately $3,000 worth of damage was done to her 2001 Honda.
