Local martial arts instructor honored
26 June 2008 – Local martial arts instructor Grandmaster Lyndon Johnson of the Hwarang Warrior Martial Arts Academy was recently inducted into the AMS International Martial Arts Hall of Fame. The induction was done during the 2008 AMS Martial Arts Leaders Summit, May 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orlando.
Top martial arts instructors and school owners from around the world attended this annual event. Grandmaster Johnson was recognized and inducted into the AMS Martial Arts Hall of Fame for his “remarkable achievements and contributions to martial arts”. 
Grandmaster Johnson currently holds black belts in 16 different martial arts styles.
Grandmaster Johnson is the chief instructor for the Hwarang Warrior Martial Arts Academy of Goldsboro teaching classes at Gold’s Gym and in Mount Olive beside Debbie’s Fitness.
The Hwarang Warrior’s martial arts program is celebrated for the positive life changing experience it provides it’s students. Pictured is Grandmaster Johnson with World Famous Master Y.K. Kim “the most successful martial arts school owner in the nation”, and organizer of the summit.
