Grady, Edwards wed in Warsaw

19 June 2008 – Holly Gale Grady and Richard Earl Edwards of Clinton exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 14, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Warsaw Baptist Church, with Dr. Tyanna Day and Dr. John McBride officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Paul Durham Grady, Jr. and Gale Bostic Grady of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Georgia Rouse Grady and the late Paul Durham Grady, Sr. of Mount Olive and the late John Stanley and Doris Harrell Bostic of Rose Hill.
She is a 1999 graduate of East Duplin High School, a 2003 graduate of University of North Carolina-Wilmington with a BS in Business Administration, and a 2006 graduate of University of North Carolina-Wilmington with a certification in Elementary Education. She is currently working on a Masters in Curriculum, Instruction and Supervision at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. She is employed as a teacher with Clinton City Schools.
The groom is the son of Bobby Ray Edwards of Garland and Laura Shaw Edwards of Ivanhoe and the grandson of the late Benjamin Franklin and Annie Ruth Edwards of Roseboro and Rachel Mitchell and the late Robert Eugene Shaw of Ivanhoe.
He is a 1992 graduate of Lakewood High School and a 2000 graduate of the 129th Basic Patrol School. He is employed as a Trooper with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a very formal and elegant Allure gown in candlelight featuring a sweatheart neckline and a fitted bodice and skirt. The gown was fully beaded with crystals, with a full fan train of embellished lace and beading. The bride wore a cathedral veil with tiara. The bride’s bouquet was made of deep fuschia roses accented with pearls and ivory satin ribbon.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Candis Bostic cousin of the bride, Ms. Meghan Brewer, cousin of the bride, Mrs. Shay Lanier, friend of the bride and Ms. Jerri Ann Uhlir, friend of the bride.
Bobby Edwards, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Mr. Michael Edwards, brother of the groom, Mr. John Paul Grady, brother of the bride, and Mr. Lane Silance, friend of the groom.
Taylor Edwards, daughter of the groom, was flower girl. Ethan Bostic, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.
June Waller, friend of the bride directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Haley Bostic, cousin of the bride. Logan Hill, cousin of the bride distributed programs.
Ricky and Fran Bostic, uncle and aunt of the bride, and Kevin and Amanda Bostic, uncle and aunt of the bride, greeted guests at the reception. Kathy Hill, aunt of the bride and Betsy Edwards, aunt of the groom served the wedding cake.
A program of wedding music was provided by Pam Langston, pianist. Ms. Danna Bostic, cousin of the bride and Mr. Woody Stroud, friend of the couple, were vocalist.
A reception was given and hosted by the bride’s parents after the wedding at Duplin Country Club, Kenansville.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico the couple will reside in Clinton.

A rehearsal dinner of BBQ was given by the bride and groom and hosted at the home of Jeff and Donna Harrell, cousins of the bride, on June 13.
An engagement party was hosted by Herman and Kathy Hill and Neal and Donna Hill, friends of the bride and the bride’s parents on November 17, 2007, at the home of the bride’s parents.
A Christmas Shower was hosted by Fran and Amanda Bostic, aunts of the bride on December 2, 2007, at the home of Fran Bostic.
A money and gift card shower was hosted by special aunts and cousins of the bride on March 30 at Hallsville Presbyterian Church.
A miscellaneous shower honoring the couple was hosted by the Baptist women of Garners Chapel Church on April 6.
A Lawn/Garden and Tool Shower was hosted by the groom’s family on April 20 at the home of the groom’s mother.
A Recipe Shower was given by Amy and Erin Hartsfield, friends of the bride on April 27 at the home of Amy Hartsfield.
A Bachlorette Weekend was held May 16, 17 and 18 at Topsail Island hosted by the bridesmaids.
A shower was held at Oasis Oyster Bar in Clinton on May 22 by co-workers of the bride.
A Bridesmaids Luncheon was held on May 31 at Abigail’s of Clinton, hosted by Hilda Bostic, aunt of the bride and Dana Bostic, cousin of the bride.
The bride’s students held a breakfast shower in her honor on June 4 at L.C. Kerr School.
A cookout was held on June 8 at the home of Phil and Pam Brewer, uncle and aunt of the bride at their home.
