Spring Creek High offering summer camps in volleyball, baseball, plus golf tourney

SCHS volleyball camps coming July 7-10
Spring Creek High School head volleyball coach Deanna Morris is hosting two volleyball camps from July 7-10 (Monday through Thursday) at the school.
Wayne County’s Fourth Annual Volleyball Camp will be held from 8:30 to 11 a.m. This camp is open to players in grades 6-9 (middle school) and the cost is $50.
The High School Skills/Team camp is being held on the same dates, but from 11:30 to 5 p.m., also at the school. Players may attend the camp without the rest of their school team. The cost of this camp is $75.
Ninth-graders may attend both camps for a cost of $110.

Spring Creek Golf Tournament
to be held June 17 in Goldsboro
Spring Creek High School is hosting its fourth annual Spring Creek High School Golf Tournament on Tuesday, June 17 starting at 1 p.m.
The tournament will be held at the Goldsboro Municipal Golf Course, with registration starting at 11:30 a.m. It is a four-man superball tournament with a $200 prize for the winning team and $100 for the runners-up. Awards will also be given for the longest drive and two awards will be given for the closest to the pin on the par-3s.
Entry fees are $200 per team and $50 per person. All proceeds will go to the SCHS athletic department.

SCHS baseball camps coming July 8-9
Spring Creek High School will hold its annual baseball camp from 8:30 a.m. to noon on July 8-9 at the school.
The camp is open to players ages 6-13 and the cost is $45 per person or $75 for two siblings.

SCHS volleyball team wants to establish
contact with prospective players
The Spring Creek High School volleyball program is seeking to establish contact with prospective players for the upcoming fall season. A parent and player information meeting was held on Monday, June 9. Those who were unable to attend the meeting but who are interested in playing volleyball at SCHS in the upcoming season should contact Head Coach Deanna Morris at (919) 223-2628 or (919) 778-7272.

MO Middle Field Day

The annual MOMS Field Day was held last week at Daughtry Fields, with dozens of children and their parents out having fun a few days before the 100-degree weather arrived in town.
