Dudley man arrested on suspicion of auto theft

12 June 2008 – The Wayne County Sheriff’s office apprehended a Dudley man Friday on nine felony charges relating to the theft of multiple motor vehicles in the county.
James Michael Hargrove Jr., 32, of 133 Hack Dr., was charged with three counts each of felony motor vehicle theft, felony obtaining property by false pretense, and felony possession and transfer of a stolen motor vehicle.
The case opened on May 31, when a report was filed with the Wayne County Sheriffs Office that three stored vehicles were stolen from behind a residence on Potts Rd. in Dudley. Sgt J. Smith and Deputy J. Sparrow located the vehicles at Young’s Auto Salvage. Further investigation led to the arrest of Hargrove on the charges.
Hargrove was detained in the Wayne County Detention center under $60,000 secured bond. The WCSO says that additional arrests in the case are pending.
